Overview
Federal law requires that all firearms purchased online be transferred through a licensed Federal Firearms License dealer. This policy explains how firearm transfers work for purchases made through the BFS Gun Boss website.

Firearm Transfer Requirement
All firearms purchased through BFS Gun Boss must be shipped to a licensed Federal Firearms License dealer selected by the customer.
Firearms cannot be shipped directly to residential addresses.
The receiving dealer is responsible for conducting the required background check and completing all legal transfer paperwork before the firearm is released to the buyer.

Selecting a Receiving Dealer
During checkout customers must provide the name and contact information of the licensed dealer who will receive the firearm shipment.
If a dealer is not selected during checkout, BFS Gun Boss will contact the customer to obtain this information before the order can be processed.
Orders may be delayed until the receiving dealer’s license has been verified.

Dealer Transfer Fees
Most receiving dealers charge a transfer fee for processing firearm transfers.
These transfer fees are determined by the receiving dealer and are the responsibility of the customer.
Transfer fees are separate from the purchase price paid to BFS Gun Boss.

Background Check Process
Customers must complete ATF Form 4473 and pass the required background check before the firearm can be transferred to them.
The background check is conducted by the receiving dealer in accordance with federal and state laws.
BFS Gun Boss does not control or conduct background checks.

Inspection Before Transfer
Customers should inspect the firearm at the receiving dealer before completing the transfer.
If the firearm appears damaged or incorrect, the transfer should not be completed and the customer should contact BFS Gun Boss immediately.

Denied or Delayed Background Checks
If a customer fails the required background check, the firearm must be returned to BFS Gun Boss through the receiving dealer.
Return shipping costs, dealer fees, and any applicable restocking fees remain the responsibility of the customer.
If a background check is delayed, the transfer may proceed once the dealer receives authorization to complete the transfer according to applicable laws.

Compliance With Laws
Customers are responsible for ensuring they are legally eligible to purchase and possess firearms in their jurisdiction.
Orders placed for items restricted in the customer’s state or locality may be canceled.
